Summer Reading rocks!

Congratulations to our amazing summer readers.  We had over 961 readers plus 245 parent partners participate in the club. Children read over 14,700 books, which is about 14 books per child.  National studies encourage children to read at least 5 books over the summer to maintain reading ability, so our super-readers are well above that!

Thank you also for filling our our summer reading survey. Looking at the results, it was wonderful to see how many of you enjoyed receiving free books. But weekly prizes and prize tickets scored pretty high, too, so rest assured we will take all of your suggestions under advisement as we plan for next year's program.

We can't forget to thank our many amazing sponsors. If you visit these businesses, please let them know how much you enjoyed summer reading.
